Performance Highlights
2010 SEASON
Dubbed ArtsWestchester Hosts, the 2010 season ran from January – May, and was made up of four distinct series: A Taste of Latino Culture, NewUrbanJazz, The Big Read and Affiliate & Community Programs for the Whole Family.
Cultura Y Sabor Latino – A Taste Of Latino Culture
Presented by ArtsWestchester: Folk Arts this series was made up of four evenings of Latino community based culture, revealing the quality and diversity of traditional art practiced throughout Westchester. The showcase included spirited events with live performances and samplings of regional foods.
This program was made possible with a grant from the Folk and Traditional Arts Program of National Endowment for the Arts and with general program support from the New York State Council on the Arts, a State Agency.

NewUrbanJazz
This hot new series premiered in 2010. It was a celebration of Jazz, Urban Music and Blues by a dedicated group of home grown artists, who have toured and recorded internationally. These pros have worked with major artists such as George Benson, Ron Carter, Grover Washington, Jr. and Donny Hathaway but have not forgotten their roots, as evidenced by the youth mentoring program that took place before each concert. NewUrbanJazz was co-curated by Bob Baldwin, Jr. in collaboration with City Sketches, Inc and NewUrbanJazz Lounge Radio.
NewUrbanJazz was supported in part with funding from the Presenting Program of the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency, and matching funds from the Jacob Burns Foundation.
The Big Read Westchester
We hosted a series of spoken word and civic dialogue events as part of the Big Read initiative in Westchester.
