Arts Alive Grants

Arts Alive Grants are funded through the Decentralization Program of New York State Council on the Arts to support the arts at the community level. Arts Alive Grants are awarded in two categories: grants for arts organizations and grants for artists – This is the category in which first-time applicants are generally most competitive.

Arts Alive Artist Grants provide direct support to artists to create original new work that incorporates the community as context. Projects must be initiated by the artist and reflection of the community must be integral to the project and to the creative process. Two $2,500 awards.
Arts Alive Project Grants support arts & cultural programs at the community level. First time applicants are most competitive. Artists must apply in tandem with a fiscal agent organization. Grants awards: $1,000 — $5,000.
It is highly recommended that ALL potential applicants attend an application workshop

Thursday, July 22 at 6pm at Croton/Cortlandt Center for the Arts, 293B Furnace Dock Road, Croton-On-Hudson. Hosted by CCCArts.
Tuesday, July 27 at 5pm at Mount Vernon Public Library, 28 South First Avenue, Mount Vernon.
Thursday, August 12 at 3pm at the Warner Library, 121 North Broadway Tarrytown. Hosted by the Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow Arts Council.
Thursday, August 19 at 3pm at the New Rochelle Library, One Library Plaza, 2nd Floor Conference Room, New Rochelle. Hosted by the New Rochelle Council for the Arts.
Thursday, August 26 at 5pm at Blue Door Gallery, 5 Hudson St. Yonkers. Hosted by Blue Door Art Association.
