In May 2012 the Takacs was the only string quartet to be inducted into Gramophone Magazine’s first-ever Hall of Fame, together with such legendary figures as Jascha Heifetz, Leonard Bernstein and Dame Janet Baker. Now based in Boulder, CO, the ensemble recently was awarded the Commander’s Cross of the Order of Merit from their native Hungary. In 2012-13 they will be Associate Artists at Wigmore Hall in London.

This is the opening concert of a six-concert subscription series. Cost for the entire series is $120 for adults, $60 for students. The beautiful modern auditorium is acoustically excellent and comfortable for audience and artists alike. Tickets are general admission only; payment with cash or check only. Parking is free.
