Another deeply human Farhadi film, Fireworks Wednesday takes place during the chaotic new year celebrations in modern-day Tehran. Amid the festivities, though, a darker story of love, jealousy, and betrayal plays out. A subtle, beautifully written gem that compassionately explores complex relationships and social hierarchies of Iranian society.
