Vote for 2012 Affiliate Representatives
One of the benefits affiliates enjoy is the opportunity to be represented on the ArtsWestchester Board of Trustees. Four seats are designated for ArtsWestchester affiliates.
You are eligible to nominate and vote if your organization’s affiliate membership is current. We encourage self-nominations. Please note that nominees must be an Executive Director or Board President. Candidates may be chosen from the Affiliate Directory.

Once we receive the nominations, ArtsWestchester invites each nominee to submit a bio and statement, which we will distribute to all Affiliate Members along with a ballot.
ArtsWestchester’s staff tallies the votes, and recommends the two nominees with the highest score to the full board, which will ratify nominations at the September Board Meeting.
Roles and Responsibilities
Affiliates play an important role, bringing to the table their knowledge and understanding of Westchester’s cultural organizations. Once elected, they are full members of the board, participating in deliberations, serving on committees and voting on policy issues. Affiliates have the same role and responsibilities shared by all members of ArtsWestchester’s board; that is to guide ArtsWestchester in its efforts to implement its mission: “To provide leadership, vision and support to ensure the availability, accessibility and diversity of the arts in Westchester.”
Specific responsibilities include:
> Participating in board meetings. The board meets four times a year.
> Serving on the Affiliate Committee and at least one other committee of the ArtsWestchester’s board.
