Founded in 1929, the Conservatory is a 501(c) 3 organization offering individual and group instruction in Music, Theatre, and Music Therapy to thousands of students of all ages and abilities from Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Fairfield, and the Bronx counties. The theatre program features faculty with Broadway experience and classes for children, teens, and adults. They hold classes in acting, improvisation, on-camera skills, and audition skills.
The Music Therapy Institute has certified music therapists who serve individuals with a wide variety of special needs. The Conservatory offers summer programs, a concert series, Arts in Education programming, a Music Entertainment Bureau, and a warm, spacious environment in which to grow.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

- Program Description
- The Conservatory partners with schools and community organizations to offer comprehensive programs in music instruction, music therapy and drama. Our faculty brings a wealth of training, professional playing experience and a deep commitment to teaching others. Workshops and Clinics for Instrumentalists. We offer hands on instruction with professional players on topics that encourage better technical playing and enhance musicianship, such as Specialty Clinics for Woodwind and Brass instruments, as well as Introduction to String Instruments or Jazz Improvisation. Artist Residencies. Our residencies in music and theater can help teachers create a arts-enriched curriculum in any field that interactively involves the students and enlivens the educational experience. Live Performances. A variety of live performances, appropriate for pre-school through high school, use music and theater to create a special experience with lasting impact. The Intro to Instruments program introduces children to the uniqueness of orchestral instruments.
